So far I'm a bit disappointed. The white paper as a color balance source is way off. I'll re- post after I receive the gadget; although I'm a bit put off with the price structure and implementation of the app. If it works like my ColorRight Pro on my DSLR I'll be impressed!
First it was 80% off, now it's free. Just want you to buy the $40 "special" filter. What a load of crap. This is most of what litters the App Store.
Needs Full Disclosure!!!
The description of this app SHOULD say that to use this app, for the most desired results, requires buying a $24.99 set of grey discs! The results using the less ideal approach (using a sheet of white paper) gives mixed results, at best.
Said less diplomatically, the description of this app is totally misleading. This is really a $30 app (until the "special" 2 day special on the gray discs increases in price) when the real total price will significantly more!!!!
I own ColorRite products and find it totally unacceptable that the description of the app doesn't include critical information about the real cost of the app for it to be useful.
10/12 New Post
O.K. At least the description now states that for best results you must but their gray disks. But NOW the app is free - I paid $4.99 - and the gray disks are a "special" $19! Colorright should change it's name to ColorWRONG!!! These people are either 1)dishonest 2)not too smart 3)self destructive or 4)just trying to ruin whatever reputation they had. Colorright, don't you think you owe something to those few fools, like myself, that bought your $4.99 application?!!!!
